I live in Puglia and I have met Shivananda about a month ago. I have tried to write down what my meeting with Him has meant to me…
I was invited at Shivananda’s home in Puglia by a friend and as soon as I entered his place I was touched immediately by the presence of Shivananda. His serenity and composure inspired me from the beginning with a sense of Divine presence. Strangely he started to have quite a conversation with me telling me his story in such a loving way that I felt like listening my mother telling me loving tales as a child.
What struck me from the outset was Shivananda’s way of talking to everyone gathered in front of him: he would engage his eyes with everyone but, just at the moment he was about to say something very significant for me, he would look me straight in the eyes as if those very words were just the ones my soul was waiting to hear. During that day and the following at his home I have felt like being in the company of a Being touched by Peace, Love and Sacredness.
It is not for the miracles that I have seen myself in those days but for His Presence that I have thought several times in those two days: “…this is what it must have been like for the Apostles to be around Jesus at his time, listening to his messages…”. My spiritual journey has been and will be very supported by Shivananda’s message of unconditioned Love, a message that my soul nurtures and feels very close to.
